The Pause
In mid-March, a new reality suddenly descended upon us, demanding that everything stop and forcing us to take measures we could never have imagined.
From that moment, with the hotel closed to our guests, we worked intensely to ensure the quickest return, but above all, the most responsible, sensible, and efficient one.
During this time, it was very clear to us that our work had to be based on a commitment to three fundamental pillars:
Commitment to our Community
A global pandemic explains many things. It tells you that we are all protagonists and that only with generosity and by looking around can we move forward. Out of responsibility, we closed immediately, took all the stock from our kitchens to Caritas, and made our infrastructure available to the authorities to be used as a mediated hotel. Also, out of commitment to our community, every afternoon since the beginning of the lockdown, we have engaged in dialogue with our neighbors, a moment of entertainment, music, and congratulations. In short, a shared moment.
Commitment to our Guests
We have always kept them in mind. We have kept them informed and attended to their needs. We have never stopped thinking about them, worrying about every detail during these days and, of course, worrying about them for the days to come. Decisions, protocols, improvements, or expansions. A series of measures to ensure that the reunion is not just possible, but also better.
Commitment to our Team
The Gran Hotel Don Manuel team is sacred. From the beginning of this situation, we met and made it very clear that we would all face this adventure together. We have ensured that no one was harmed, we have talked, we have trained, we have contributed, and we have shared. We are now an even better team than two months ago, and we are all absolutely prepared and committed to a new chapter for the hotel, which we will turn into an even better one.
We're Back
We will be reopening our doors very soon. Along the way, we have learned many things, but the best part is that some of them are truly important. We never lost hope. We return motivated, respectful yet joyful, confident and cautious at the same time. We have given our best, and now we are ready to welcome you. We are looking forward to seeing you again.
